Depression Sucks More Than Kanye

Donation protected
I found myself on the "Help Get Kanye Out of Debt" campaign that was featured on Yahoo earlier today and noticed that a large amount of people were (and still currently are) donating money to the idea of getting Kanye West, one of the most successful rappers of our generation, out of his supposed 53 million dollar debt. A large majority of the people donating, however, were actually ripping on Kanye and his family, yet still donating the minimum amount to the very cause they were so adamantly protesting just so they can get a quick joke in . This got me thinking... Why not allow people to take jabs at Kanye while donating to an actual good cause? I know that making fun of someone (and their entire family) is not exactly the ideal way to raise money for a good cause, but we live in a weird world now, strangely full of opportunities. It's 2016 after all.

I would like to clarify, that I consider myself a huge fan of Kanye Wests music. I can recite 'Gold Digger' in its entirety and even got a hold of 'T.L.O.P. ' the second it came out. I also think 'Roses' is one of the most emotionally striking pieces of music I've ever heard and 'Watch the Throne' may very well be the best rap record released in the last ten years. The point is, by no means do I hate Kanye West as an artist. The way he carries himself, however, is far from likeable and he clearly strikes a nerve with a lot of people. Whats worse is that people are actually, genuinely donating money to "help" a high profile celebrity that makes more money than most people could fathom. Which is why I'm doing this. Unfortunately for Kanye and the whole Kardashian Klan, it's very much in style to ridicule them on all fronts. So let me formerly introduce the official "Depression Sucks More Than Kanye West" campaign. Proceeds from this campaign will go to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) helping people battle what is, in my opinion, the worst illness someone can possibly have.

Kanye west will find a way to get out of debt. People with depression, however, need help. So please, fire away and be a part of something much bigger than Kanye West.
