Hey everyone my name is Kanisha, I am a single Mother of 3 lovely kids: One daughter age 16 and two boys aged 7 and 9. I work in a Hospital taking care of people, which that is my passion to dedicate my life serving others. However, I have been struggling with my diagnosis of Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Obesity. In case you are unfamiliar with what that is I will clarify it for you; This is a serious condition to which I have multiple episodes throughout the night where I stop breathing for a couple of seconds, then start back breathing due to excess fat deposits built up around my airways. this is the scariest thing to experience, because you wake up gasping for air. I am currently using a CPAP breathing machine but it is not curing my condition, so my Doctor advised me that he will combine Zepbound injections (which help break down fat deposits around the airway, as well as, help with unhealthy weight loss) with my CPAP therapy to fully cure my condition. I have fought so hard to get approved for the right medication that would help me lose the extra weight and cure my Sleep Apnea. Today my Doctor was able to help me get approved after going back and forth with my insurance company. Oh boy was I excited to hear that I was approved for the Zepbound injections, because it is a top of the line cure medication for my condition. Unfortunately, my insurance company would only cover $1,002.00 of the $1,500.00 medication price and that still left me with a huge co-pay amount of $498.00 per month. I was blown out of my mind; I cannot afford to fill my prescription. The $498.00 will only get me one month supply, and I need to be on the medication for at least 6 months to improve my condition. If you could find it in your heart to donate me ANYTHING, I assure you it will go towards filling my prescription.
