Healing for Kandis

Kandis shares her story:

“Many of you know that October is breast cancer awareness month.

What many of you probably didn’t know is that I’m in the middle of this battle for the second time. This time around, I have Stage IV (metastatic) Breast Cancer: metastasis (spread) to ovaries, liver, colon and along my spine. My doctors have advised us at this point treatment is palliative as there’s no cure. We were prepared to celebrate 5 years in remission but received a diagnosis almost the same day were prepared to celebrate. We made plans for our family. We were in a great place. We never expected this. We were completely blindsided.

Now, I share all this just to set the stage for the miracle that is about to take place! As I reflect on the place I’m in, I have to admit that I’ve prayed for miracles, but never expected to be the miracle! I never considered how bad/how impossible things have to be for a miracle to take place. But nonetheless, I know a Doctor whose word trumps what man says. I KNOW God as a Healer. He’s done it before and He’ll do it again. God has spoken great things over my life and His word will not return to Him void. I’m excited for my future. I’m thankful for my friends and family.
