Kandace's breast cancer has returned and metastasized.
Kandace is a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit. She is passionate about helping others and acts as a strong advocate for the tiniest, most fragile lives. Kandace's NICU nurse coworkers are starting this fund on her behalf. The money raised will help with medical bills and support the everyday costs of living and raising a family while she is off work to receive treatment.
Kandace is married and has two daughters. Kaitlyn is 10 and Carlee is 8 and has Down's Syndrome. Kandace is the sole financial provider in the family, and will have to take leave from work for her treatment.
About 3 years ago Kandace was diagnosed with breast cancer and was treated with chemotherapy and had a double mastectomy. Unfortunately, her breast cancer has returned and metastasized in both her lungs and elsewhere. She began chemotherapy on July 24th.
