Kam’s & Dom’s Village

Hi,

My name is Tee and I started this GFM for Dom & Kam because at the moment they’re not able to do it themselves and during this dark hour they need a village to step in to love them and help them .

Kam is the young man in the photo and Dom (the woman in the photo) is his mother. He is her only child. But Kam is transitioning…

As mother’s, we fall in love with our babies the moment we see the positive sign on the pregnancy test. Then we birth these perfect beings, we love them so deeply that we know the sound of their footsteps even in a crowded room, we recognize their coughs even if they’re in a different room, we recognize and react to their cries even from 100 feet away, we know every birthmark on their bodies, we know what will make them smile and what will make them cry, and we will make every sacrifice to make sure that these innocent beings that we created can have a better life then we experienced. Their entire existence quickly becomes our REASON why! Our reason to become better, our reason to learn more, our reason to earn more, and our reason to love harder.

Having to bury your child is never apart of the plan. Ever. No parent should have to face the crippling pain of burying their child.

Kam has been battling GLIOBLASTOMA. Unfortunately, the end of his battle is nearing. Kam’s doctors recently informed his family that there is absolutely nothing else they can do to save or prolong his life.

And Kam is a great kid. He did well in high school and was a star athlete. In fact, his athleticism got him a full scholarship to college (Dom was so proud) … but GLIOBLASTOMA popped up in Kam’s brain out of nowhere and stole everything he worked hard for.

Kam has been fighting so hard. He wants to live. His attitude has been so positive. He stayed in college as long as he could even while going through chemo treatment. He hasn’t had any adverse reactions to treatments, but GLIOBLASTOMA became more aggressive and just like that, we are here.

Imagine being a single mother to an amazing child. During your entire motherhood journey it has just been you and your child, then suddenly you’re having to sit and hear that this precious perfect human you’ve created and loved more than yourself for 20 years, won’t be with you for much longer. Imagien being advised to make funeral arrangements for your only baby. Imagine having to hear that and sit through that. This is the conversation that Dom just had to sit through.

She is broken.

Please, I’m asking for everyone to step outside yourselves, have a little sympathy/empathy and help this deserving family, if you can… Prayers, good energy, & money are all welcomed.

The funds will be used for funeral and medical expenses. 

And because Dom may not be able to Thank You all herself… Thank you!
