Today, my husband Tyler and I began our journey to adopt a baby. Somewhere, SOMEONE is having a baby for us! We knew that stork couldn't hide from us forever haha!
From where we stand right now, the magnitude of what we have to accomplish just to be ACCEPTED as potential adoptive parents seems daunting and almost insurmountable.
But we know we can get though it, because we have all of you! We have been trying to have a baby for about 20 forevers. We've endured countless heartbreaks and shed many private tears, but mostly just tried to put on a happy face, hoping someday we could be parents too. But now we are on the way, and one day soon Tyler and I will finally be a mommy and daddy!
Any of you who have adopted (or know people who have) knows that it is very expensive. Even though we are doing in-state adoption, not private or international, we are expecting to spend about $10,000 when all the beans are counted just to complete every thing we need to do before we get a baby. We are saving and preparing as best we can, but we are also launching this GoFundMe, for anyone who would like to help us find the missing piece to our family.
We can't wait until we can introduce the newest member of our family to his or her 3,263 cousins, 1,543 Aunts and Uncles, 4 Grampas and Grammas, and about a million jillion "Honorary" Aunts and Uncles!
