Support for Kami and Trevin

These are my friends, Trevin and Kami Lingren. If you know this couple as I do, you have doubtless been blessed by their incredible friendship, empathy, and fine sense of humor! If you don't know them, this link means that someone you care for does, and let me tell you: These are great people! And they could use your help.
The backstory:
In 2014, Kami began having incredibly heavy struggles with her Lyme Disease, which was officially diagnosed at this time. Some of these symptoms landed her in the hospital. Besides her own fight, Kami became an advocate for all those with Lyme Disease, which has been grossly misunderstood and makes diagnosis, treatment, and everyday life unbelievably difficult. This article she contributed to for Women's Health is a nice summary: https://www.womenshealthmag.com/health/a19983371/chronic-diseases/
Who's that Girl?
In 2017, Kami began experiencing better general health and was able to finally travel and in November of 2019, she gave birth to this beautiful nugget, Chloe Rian. Those who love Kami and Trev rejoiced, hoping and praying that this beautiful little family had left their deepest struggles behind. Unfortunately, 2020 had different ideas.
Present Day:
On the afternoon of June 14th, while at home, Kami experienced a clonic tonic seizure , an MS flare , thought to be an autoimmune reaction caused by Lyme. Trevin promptly called 911. She had a second seizure after being admitted to the hospital. They kept her in the hospital until June 24th (with limited visitations due to Covid), then Kami was released, but the challenges had only begun. Combining daily struggles with mobility, allergic reactions to nearly everything, and near-seizure symptoms, she has needed full-time care--as, of course, does Chloe. Sometimes these needs are in opposition: think screaming baby and wife whose seizure could be triggered by loud noise. Trevin and Kami have been blessed to receive help from friends and family, but caring for his ladies is at least 2 full-time jobs, which means that Trevin cannot work right now.
(Chloe and Mama, post-seizure. Kami only has about 20% mobility in her right arm.)
How can I help?
Trev and Kami have already been blessed by friends and family who have helped meet some of their needs, not only at this time, but also in the past. They are so grateful. The following are some current needs, should you feel compelled to donate money, volunteer your time, or pray.
* Live in the area? (Medford, Oregon) Trevin currently needs support in the form of a person to come help with care, both during the day and overnight. Meals provided are also appreciated. If you want to sign up for a time to help at their house, please visit this site to sign up: Sign Up
* Medical bills/living expenses: Pain-management, medication, treatment, and testing for Lyme, all of which are not covered by insurance. Also not covered: specialty doctor visits. For basic living necessities during the time Trevin is unable to go to work.
* Meals: Thanks to modern conveniences like DoorDash, you can provide meals remotely as well.
*Prayer:
1. To get in to see a great neurologist ASAP. Current neurologist has missed many things and is also really difficult to get pain management from. They have a referral from naturopath for a good local neurologist, and are hoping to get in on a cancellation ASAP.
2. That the naturopath would be blessed with wisdom and clarity over prescribing the right combination of testing, meds, and nutritional support. After their first meeting last week, they feel cautiously optimistic.
3. That Kami's pain would be reduced significantly through a combination of meds, physical therapy, and overall healing. She has had many moments the last few weeks where her pain was between an 8-10 out of 10. With some meds, sometimes it gets down to a 4-5, but not consistently.
4. For increased mobility and less dizziness, both of which lead to many other challenges.
Some words of thanks from the Lingrens:
We are forever humbled by the support we were shown in the past and those that have helped already this time. Words can't properly express the gratitude we feel, but we want you to know that whatever way you're able to help is valued greatly. Thank you!
Love,
Kami & Trevin
