Kaluha's Rescue and Rehabilitation
Donation protected
Kaluha is a 5-year-old rescue German Shepherd coming from a neglect and abuse case. She is considered a special needs dog now, given that she will need prescription food and pain management for the rest of her life due to medical conditions she developed before rescue. Kaluha suffers from reactivity and fear-based aggression from physical abuse, shock collar usage, and negative interactions (possible attacks) with other dogs in her former residence. She was saved from wrongful euthanasia by a foster family and found her forever home after 8 months.
To rehabilitate her, she will need private training costing approximately $2,500. Your donation will cover the cost of her training to allow her the freedom to be a dog again without fear. Additionally, donations will go toward the cost of the vet bills from rescue intake, which diagnosed her nerve damage and urinary issues, addressed her underweight and tick issues, and provided the work-up to get her healthy. Donations will also help to cover enrichment opportunities during her training.
Nicknamed Honey Bear, her favorite treats are peanut butter blueberries and ice cubes. The best part of her day is going for walks by the lake, snuggling with her lamb stuffie, and playing with her ball.
Please help Kaluha in her comeback tour to make the next five years and beyond her best life ever.
