Kal’s Top Surgery Fund!

Hi kind people! I’m Kal (they/he)- and I am raising money for my gender-affirming top surgery. The surgery is scheduled for January 2023, which seems far away and yet is nothing compared to how long I’ve already waited. I’ve always known I wasn’t cisgender, and have been out as transmasc nonbinary for three years now. I have wanted to get this surgery for a decade, but never saw it as something I’d have access to. Now, I have an amazing community of friends around me who have supported me in making this decision.

 

This surgery, though a blessing, will not be cheap. Including the surgeons fees and anaesthetist, the total cost is around $10,000. I am hoping to be able to pay half of it myself, with some help from close family, but I will need a little help from friends to get me over the line. Any money donated here will go straight into paying for the surgery. Of course, I only want people to give what they can, within their means. Your love and support is enough for me, no matter what.

 

This surgery will be life changing for me, in terms of how I move through the world, how I interact with people, what I wear, and how I see myself in the mirror. I’m so excited, and so grateful to anyone who can lend a hand <3
