Kalob Followell's Emergency Medical Fundraiser
Donation protected
I am raising funds for my cousin Kalob Followell. He has been battling medical issues his whole life beginning with a Spina Bifida diagnosis at birth. His surgeries for this condition began at just 3 months of age. He has had a total of 11 surgeries to this date, and has another 4 surgeries he has to endure this year alone. It has been an ongoing battle his whole life, but these last few years have been extremely difficult. Kalob was facing amputation of his leg due to an ongoing fight with infection but we are hoping that is finally under control. Kalob has not been able to work in over two years now and has struggled to maintain his bills and living expenses but has done so without asking for help. He has to travel to Loyola University in Chicago for most of his appointments and the expenses have been piling up with things such as copays and travel expenses along with medication and other needs. His fiance Coty has had to shift her focus from working full time to caring for Kalob and just picking up work whenever she can in order to get him to and from appointments, care for him and do his IV treatments, along with taking care of other basic needs as Kalob is limited in mobility. He is currently awaiting his next surgery on April 4th to remove an external fixator so that they can implement more permanent hardware to reconstruct his leg. He is currently getting around on crutches but mostly relies on a wheelchair. The reconstruction process and healing are expected to take at least another year. Coty and Kalob have really been struggling financially due to all of this, as they are also still raising and supporting their children. Any help that can be provided is beyond appreciated. It is not easy to ask for help, especially in times like now the world is struggling, and that does not go unnoticed as we make this request for help. If you can not donate, just sharing the fundraiser can make all the difference in helping to raise the funds needed.
