Kallmyer - Mt St Mary's Scholarship

C. Gregory Kallmyer was truly a unique soul. From the first time you met him, you could not help but love him for who he was. He was genuine, kind, soft-spoken and humorous. Whether you were family, friends, knew him for years or days, Gregg offered help whenever you may have needed it.
Above all else, he was truly a brilliant and remarkable person. He was the VP of UBS Financial Services; which is probably why every time you saw Gregg, he was dressed for success. Friends and family even had to try to convenience him to dress casually to go out.
Gregg attended Mount Saint Mary's whose missions statement is "we don’t expect you to become someone new, but to strengthen the person you already are by challenging yourself and testing your own limits. It is that version of “you” that will achieve significant things and leave your lasting mark on the world."
He embraced that to it's fullest extent and beyond. Not only was Gregg strengthening the person he was, but he strengthened everyone around him; embracing them for who they were. Needless to say, Gregg left his every lasting mark on the world.
Gregg was married to Patty Kallmyer, who loves life just as much as he did, the two fell in love and embraced it together, strengthening each other as they went.
Unfortunately, Gregg lost his battle with Lewy Bodies & Early Onset Alzheimer's on Sunday, May 13th. Patty was fortunate to be by his side as he peacefully took his last breath. It’s been a long week of vigil with family and friends joining Gregg at his bedside. He was never one to leave the party early. In a true fashion, he waited for his fanfare to subside and he and Patty did it privately together.
Gregg was a wonderful man gone too young. To show support to Gregg, Patty, their family and their love for life and education, we started this GoFundMe page for those who want to add to Gregg & Patty's Scholarship Fund at Gregg's Alma Mater. Our goal is $2,000; this will pay for half of one semester.
The C. Gregory & Patricia Kallmyer Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 2016 by Gregg Kallmyer, C’72, and his wife, Patricia, this scholarship is awarded to a student who is in their sophomore year and has completed their full freshman year at Mount St. Mary’s University, from the geographic region of Western Maryland, with preference to a student who shows that they are a committed and active member of the Mount community. Recipients will be among those who have demonstrated strong academic achievement in college and have between a 3.0-3.5 cumulative GPA.
