The Marvel family is reaching out in hopes of a miracle—and with gratitude for the many already received. Our beloved mother, Kalli Sage Marvel, has been fighting an unimaginable medical battle for the past two years following a violent attack that left her with extensive internal damage.

In the last year, she underwent a hysterectomy to relieve the chronic pain and trauma caused by that attack. Unfortunately, during this procedure, an undetected perforation in her colon—also a result of the original assault—led to a life-threatening bacterial infection called necrotizing fasciitis. This flesh-eating bacteria destroyed the muscles in her abdominal wall, leaving her permanently with a large hernia and her abdomen open and unable to be closed due to persistent leakage from her colon.

Kalli spent weeks on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit before being moved to a specialized surgical care unit, but her road to healing is far from over. After more than a year with exposed fistulas, she recently underwent another major surgery to reintegrate her intestines into her body—an essential but risky step forward. Her condition remains delicate, and she continues to require round-the-clock medical care and monitoring.

Throughout this entire journey, Kalli’s strength has been unwavering. And she has never fought alone. Her family—who mean everything to her—have been by her side every single day, bearing each burden with her. Her son Tristan has stepped into the role of primary caregiver, offering constant support and care.

Kalli’s children and her extended family have walked every step of this long and painful road with her. Their love for her is unshakable, and her love for them is what fuels her fight. She draws strength from their presence, their encouragement, and their belief in her, even when the days are darkest. Her family has watched her suffer, yet never give up; they’ve held her hand through every procedure, every setback, and every small victory. This journey has not just been hers—it’s been ours too.
