Kali's Housing Fund

My name is Kali (or nona, for those who know me well), and we are facing eviction from our current home. We are 4 trans women who have struggled to find work for over 6 months, all with worsening disabilities and mental illness that make the search even harder. I had been doing delivery driving for a popular company until my chronic fatigue has made me near permanently dizzy to a degree that I do not feel safe driving by myself anymore. My partner (also named Kali as a beautiful twist of fate) has been permanently disabled by long covid and other ongoing issues, and has been fighting for a disability claim for years now, with no end in sight.

Our listed goal is to cover deposits and the first month's rent for a new place, with any leftover funding going to repaying the money we still owe toward our currently ending lease. The future is very scary and uncertain for us, but should our campaign succeed, it would help us get back on our feet tremendously and give hope to a struggling found family who can't seem to catch a break.
