My heart and soul were compelled to adopt this owner surrender 5 1/2 yr mixed breed sheep dog a week ago. She had been in 2 shelters for many months without any new families to love her.
I don't understand how anybody can just throw their furry child away by deciding they are just finished with the animal.
This furry lady just filled my heart with a love that I cant even describe after just one look at her. I could not let her suffer as a discarded being any longer. I just had to help her in any way that I could. I broke out in to a flood of tears seeing her in this condition. It felt like there was no choice but to bring her home. I was aware that she had some physical issues but I didn't know the extent.
I took her to the vet for x rays and an exam. She has infections and allergies on her skin, a torn ACL which must be repaired, hip dysplasia and now I’m learning of her other physical issues. She deserves a happy healthy life!! This is going to cost many thousands to keep her pain free and mentally stable. Im doing all that I can, but any little outside help for this shelter lady would be greatly appreciated. It's hard and embarrassing to ask for help, but I did not know the extent of her needs and this is not about me. It is about a beloved animal. I will not send her back to jail EVER!!!
