Many of you may know my best friend of 30 years, Kalima, our sister and friend is battling a very aggressive cancer.  Me and her family are taking the holistic route as her doctors have done all they can do. She is now in a hospice/hospital that specializes in end of life treatment.

Kalima has been so strong and vigilant since her diagnosis's however, at this stage of her journey she needs our help. 

We all know Kalima as the life of the party and if you've followed her documented journey in the past few years, you know she is literally on of the strongest people you will ever meet and continues to inspire us with her positive "warrior" attitude. 

I was there with my little sister Andrea as she passed away from breast cancer and watched her struggle with the adverse side effects of chemotherapy. I had a close-up and personal caregiver experience to my sister's reactions to these toxic Chemotherapy 'cocktails' 2 years ago...I understand why Kalima has been extremely hesitant to start Chemotherapy, but because of her Doctors strong recommendations, she decided to start treatments to reduce the size and/or remove 25 tumors in her lungs and 3 tumors on her liver. Kalima started Chemotherapy July 22 2015 and decided to stop the IV and Oral Chemo treatments she was taking after experiencing the numerous side effects and negative results it had on her body and coincidentally, witnessing a good friend of hers receiving IV Chemo treatment in a chair right next to hers, and then passing days after his series of IV treatment. Losing Andrea devastated us so much, and Kalima continued to fight and allowed her NY and LA Medical Teams to treat her, but that loss prompted her to take serious actions to redirect the course of her tumor treatment.

"Ms Kalima Abdurrahman has widely metastic rectal cancer to lung, lymph nodes, spine, and bone. s/p irinotecan in September, with most recently diagnosed skull base metasasis affecting CN VI that is being treated with palliative XRT. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!! 


I am asking everyone who knows and Loves Kalima to help her get through this.. The fact is the doctors have said she may have weeks. We are taking holistic, spiritual and practical measures to insure she has years, GOD willing. There are cost to taking this approach and we are grateful for any financial assistance.
