Kalika Robinson is a mother, grandmother, and sister (known to her family
in England as Lizzie) and beloved member of the Seattle community who
was recently and suddenly diagnosed with a challenging Stage 4 cancer.
She is a mother of 7, grandmother of one preschooler - whose favorite
place is in her lap with a book - and the primary caregiver of Kabir, her
adult son with Down Syndrome. While adjusting to this devastating news,
Kalika now faces enormous medical bills and, unable to return to work, she
has no income for rent, food, care, and other costs. With limited savings
caused by previous medical issues and care for her son, Kalika needs
support now more than ever.
Kalika is known foremost as a carer and a healer; she is happiest when she
is helping others. Her career has been as a massage and cranial sacral
therapist. She loves being deeply present with her clients. Kalika always
finds ways to show up for those who need it. During this difficult time, we
want to wrap our arms around Kalika, providing vital support that will
enable her to better spend her energy on healing and spending precious
time with loved ones.
All money raised will go directly to Kalika and will be spent on integral and
supportive costs including rent, food, medical bills, transportation, and any
other needs that arise. Thank you for taking this time to give back to
someone who has spent their entire life giving so much. It means the world
to all of us who have been touched by her love, kindness, and generosity.
