Kalen has suffered from severe allergic reactions to basically everything under the sun. She has a very strict diet to help prevent them however, she still ends up spending a good majority of time in the hospital.  Her conditions have been such a mystery that she was accepted to seek testing and treatments last year at The Mayo Clinic. Unfortunately, they did not get much answered. Her reactions after returning home seem to slow down for a few months but that didn’t last long. To this day the doctors have not been able to completely diagnose all of Kalen’s issues.  The doctors are working  diligently to get to the bottom of it. One of the things Kalen suffers from is Dysautonomia. This is a disease condition in which the nerves of the autonomic nervous system are damaged. She will  soon be seeing a Rheum specialist to (God will) rule out Lupus. She has had negative test in the past for it however, due to the extreme constant joint pain and butterfly rash, the doctors would like her to get full testing done.  Kalen is our smart, sweet, sassy little peanut. She has such a bright and fierce spirit. She approaches her situation as a very mature young adult and has had most of her prime teenage experiences taken away due to her conditions. This past year she has had to make a difficult decisions to remover herself from the Color Guard team at her high school (which she absolutely loved)  to keep her health as safe as possible.  She continues to fight through all her struggles with an “I got this” attitude. She is truly inspirational!

Kalen will be turning 18 this December and has one wish. Her one wish is to spend it in California at Disneyland. This financially is a struggle on her family with all the medial bills, and just everyday cost of living. I would like to do everything in my power to help make Kalen’s birthday wish come true.

Here is the the breakdown of cost for the trip:

•As of right now flights for Angela and Kalen are below $400 on Southwest. 

• 3 day hooper passes are $664 ($332 each)

•Their place to stay is covered as to I live in San Diego. 

•Anything else would be for food, entertainment and accessories during their visit. I estimated a little high in case prices changed and or they decide they would like to stay at a hotel a night or two to be closer to the theme park.
