Our dear friend, classmate, and rugby teammate needs our help. For the past 4 months, Kalei has been battling an infectious disease. After surviving cancer and addressing debilitating autoimmune issues, her already weakened immune system was attacked by a disease that requires intense medical treatment. Significant weight loss, chronic pain, unexplained fevers, and insomnia are just a few of the symptoms that Kalei suffers through on a daily basis. Her life has been derailed and she is unable to keep up with her mounting bills due to the nature of her disease. Kalei has moved back to Hawaii to be near family for support. She has been living in isolation in a remote area with no electricity or plumbing-making her condition worse and urgently needs to move closer to a major medical facility for diagnosis and treatment.
