Kaleb Anderson's outdoor chair
Here is Kaleb Anderson’s story; we pray that you would seek the Lords guidance in giving to this great cause.
Kaleb was your typical rebellious young man; he liked to live life on the edge. Kaleb was born on October 15, 1993. He turned 14 on Monday October 15, 2007. On Tuesday, he and his friend were riding an ATV; typical boys not minding their parents. As they were riding it began to rain. They approached a curve and lost control of the ATV. The ATV slid off the road hitting a tree. Kaleb’s friend was thrown off the ATV, and Kaleb was pinned by the handlebars against the tree. This is what caused his spinal cord injury the spinal cord is the only part of the body that does not heal. Kaleb is now paraplegic with a 12-inch rod and 15 screws in his back, due to this injury Kaleb is now a God-fearing 23 year-old who is married and has a part time job working with children in the school system. He also plans on returning to school to get a teaching degree to become a special needs teacher. Kaleb enjoys being outdoors and has most of his life he hunts, fishes, camps, and boats with his family. He also likes to work on things with his dad. Kaleb loves to help others. He has taken three children this year on their first juvenile hunts and all of them took their first deer. Kaleb is an amazing young man and we are hoping you will join us in prayer and support so that he may have a more fulfilling life. We believe this can be accomplished by helping him purchase this great chair. A track chair would be ideal due to him being so active. Kaleb would be able to go and do all the outdoor activities, play in the yard with his nephews, and get around easier in the woods. If it stood up that would be even better to relieve pressure off of his bottom, and to help keep his bone and muscle tone up. Paraplegics tend to get pressure sores that are hard to heal. The cost for the chair and a electric lift for his truck will be around $20,000.00.
