Kalebs hospital stay and other bill expenses ❤️❤️

Hi, my name is Jennifer Gray Kaleb went for a routine physical and the doctor ordered an X-ray to confirm her suspicions of scoliosis since his sister had been diagnosed with it. We went in for the X-ray and the pediatrician called us not even 2-3 hrs later saying we found something on the X-ray that you need to go get checked out asap so we were sent to Greenville children’s hospital to have further tests done which shown he has a mediastinal heterogeneously enhancing mass which we’ve just been calling it a tumor on his lung compromising 50%, compressing on his spine and close to other organs.they went in Fri morning 4-5-2024 and did a biopsy on the mass to help determine what it is and how to remove it safely. We also have three other children who are currently staying with my mom who miss their brother dearly. We try to let them visit the best we can but it’s hard on gas when neither of us are working right now because we both need to be here with him during this time. We are planning on having to stay until we get the biopsy results back and because they don’t want to send us home and him develop very serious symptoms and not be able to get back to the hospital in a decent amount of time due to the length of drive. We are also getting pile up of bills that need to be paid anything and everything will help what we really need is prayer we know the lord will wrap his arms around Kaleb and heal his little body.

Update:::::::

Well , wanted to update.. I know it’s very late I apologize for not answering everyone’s messages today I will in the morning… we got hit with a lot of information today and sent on our way… our way home that is… we have a name for his tumor now, which is benign not cancer!!! We were so relieved to hear those words come out of the doctors mouth. His tumor is called a Large posterior mediastinal, heterogeneously enhancing mass with areas of calcification measuring up to 13.5 cm. They sent us home with strict instructions for care until the big day which is April 25. He will not be able to go back to school for risk of catching some kind of bug, so he will need to be homeschooled I’m kinda dreading that part… it also means that when we go somewhere we’re gonna have to be extra cautious about our surroundings… and Kaleb will probably become a hermit for the next 2 weeks since a bubble would be too expensive, because he was told if he gets any kind of infection in his lungs or just a small cold they will push back his surgery and that is just not an option. He can’t roughhouse with his brother (that parts gonna be hard) if he has a fall of any kind it could damage his spine since the tumor is compressing it that could mean an even more extensive surgery. It’s very critical that no one in immediate contact with him catch’s anything so that’s gonna be hard… He will go next week for a follow up visit, so we’re in no way out of the woods yet.. please continue to pray for him I think they sent him home to get a little break from the hospital unchecked has to go back. His surgery is gonna be an all day thing which is gonna be torture thank you everyone who has messaged, called, donated you all mean the world to us! I will continue to update as I can. We’re just so grateful to be home for a little while before having to go back…
