Kaleb was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in March of this year. When he was admitted to the hospital, the doctors said they didn’t think he would have still been alive if he waited another week before coming in.

Kaleb completed his first chemo treatment in August. Since then he has had scans and biopsies to assess what is left. It turns out the cancer is still there. Progress has been made, but he is far from remission.

Kaleb’s next steps involve more chemotherapy. Once his chemo has sent him to almost remission, he will be receiving stem cell treatment. The stem cell treatment is not offered here in Mobile, so he will have to travel to another location for over a month to receive treatment and will need a full time caretaker while he is there.

Kaleb has been unable to work since Mardi Gras due to his condition. His company has been very kind to keep him employed, just on leave. However, he can only be on leave for one year, before he will lose his job. Unfortunately, a year is quickly approaching, and it looks like he will become unemployed.
