My mother, Kalayaan Galang, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025.

She had a debilitating stroke almost 5 years ago. Her life insurance policy was cashed in at that time to help pay for a caregiver. That has left very little money.

She was an incredible woman who gave of herself as a nurse and later as a caregiver for her sister.

My aunt and godmother Sora Astillero passed away Tuesday, February 25. She was a generous woman who loved her family deeply.

In her later years she was confined to a wheelchair and her funds went to her assistive care.
