Hi everyone, my name is Kala Minko, I'm a photographer in Oakland California.  I'm coming to my community for help because my house was broken into shortly after the election and all of my camera equipment including 2 very expensive rental lenses were taken. Also my MacBook I use to run my business was stolen along with two other computers.

This break-in happened during a time where police forces where directed towards protesters and the opportunistic criminals that stole from us knew that. The financial strain of replacing all my gear that I use for my livelihood is unbearable, so I'm coming to you for help. Any and all donations are very much appreciated. As an artist, it's painful to loose your tools for creating and even more painful to loose photos that never got a chance to be viewed or even shown to others. 

Im responsible for the rentals immediately, so that is the most pressing need right now. And then I will work to replace my camera and personal equipment after that. Again I am forever grateful to those who have already shown support emotionally and financially. Oakland is a beautiful place to be and I'm lucky to be an artist here despite this incident.
