Kaiya Ruiter 2019-2020 Figure Skating Season

My name is Kaiya and I am 13 year old figure skater living in Calgary, Alberta.  I was born in Ottawa, Ontario and was introduced to skating as a fun family activity on the Rideau Canal.  I have loved skating for as long as I can remember.  This season I earned  one of my key goals and dreams.  I represented Canada at two ISU Junior Grand Prix skating events.  I am so proud that my hard work, determination and sheer joy of skating earned me the opportunity to skate against the best junior skaters in the world this season.

This campaign is to help me, and my family, manage the costs of competing on the world stage.  Your contributions will help with my training, travel/accommodation for a parent chaperone and my coaching costs. 

I also have three sisters who are equally passionate and dedicated to skating.  They are my best friends and I would not be who I am without them.  Any contributions to support my opportunity also helps them earn their own experiences.
