Just a couple of years ago, Adam and his sister Kaitlyn’s world was turned upside down when they lost their mom. In the middle of his own grief, Adam stepped up in ways most young men never have to.

He became Kaitlyn’s protector, her safe place, and her biggest supporter, carrying that responsibility with so much love and strength. Now, Adam is facing another heartbreak no one should ever have to endure. His sweet sister Kaitlyn, who lit up every room with her warmth, her joy, and her humour, has been taken far too soon.

 She was such a bright light in this world, and her absence has left a hole that words can’t describe. As Adam tries to make sense of this devastating loss, we want to ease any financial strain that comes with planning a funeral and all the costs that follow. Grief alone is hard enough, he shouldn’t have to carry the added weight of financial stress on top of everything else.

 This GoFundMe was created out of love, to help ease some of that burden, to support the funeral service, and to make sure a headstone can be placed for Kaitlyn. Any contribution, no matter how small, is a way of reminding Adam that he’s not alone and that Kaitlyn’s light continues to shine through the kindness of others.
