Please help to support Kaitlyn (Kate) Nagle

Hi,

My name is Sue and I am the Mum of 4 wonderful kids! The oldest, is my beautiful, brave and smart daughter Kaitlyn (Kate), who in her early 20's, despite being healthy in every other way, developed Adult-onset epilepsy.

The past 10 years of her life have involved debilitating seizures, inhibiting her life in more ways than one can possibly imagine. Kaitlyn has been blessed with some of the best Neurologists in Canada monitoring her health and attempting to control the seizures, unfortunately as time has progressed her seizures have become resistant to medication, and it was determined that additional medical treatment be necessary.

Kaitlyn was recently apart of a 15 day study where specialists were able to determine that the epicentre of her seizures occur deep in the right frontal lobe of her brain. In collaboration with Neurologists at London Health Sciences Centre, it has been decided that she requires the removal of the front right lobe of her brain. While terrifying for all involved, this surgery will be life changing for Kaitlyn.

As a mother, I am humbly reaching out in this way to my friends, many of which have been involved and supporting through the last 10 years of our lives, to help offer some financial relief to Kaitlyn during her recovery. Kaitlyn will be off of work for 8-10 weeks minimum for recovery, a process that for a surgery of this magnitude with be a crucial time period. To have the peace of mind that finances are not a concern or top priority would mean the world to me.
