Kaitlyn Cumpton Memorial Fund

Kaitlyn Jennifer Cumpton passed away January 9, 2025, at the age of 32. She will be leaving behind her two incredible children: Kaliyah-16, and Gaige-11.

We are saddened and shocked by the sudden and unexpected death of our dear Kaitlyn.

Her death occurred while checked into a rehabilitation clinic in Yakima, Washington. She voluntarily checked in on Friday, January 3rd with so much excitement, optimism and determination to get a fresh start at life. Although the details surrounding her death are not yet fully clear, what is clear, is that a beautiful life ended far too soon.

Our hope with this GoFundMe is to raise $15,000 to help cover all of the costs associated with her transport from Yakima back to Spokane, cremation, burial and memorial service. All additional funds will be received by her two children and cover any additional unforeseen cost associated with her passing.

Kaitlyn grew up and lived in Spokane, Washington for her entire life. She was beautiful both inside and out and her life was marked by generosity and a deep care for others. If you know Katie, you know that she was always putting the needs of others before her own. She was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure others were loved, cared for and included.

Katie was passionate about creating art and beauty in whatever she did! From art that she created for others with her business, to makeup, hair and food; she saw the potential for art and beauty in everything that she touched.

Something that really stood out about Kaitlyn was her incredible sense of humor! It as seems as though she could get almost anyone laughing out loud. If you knew Katie, you knew her laugh! It was so contagious and could lighten the tension in any situation.

She had an incredible mind and a magnetic personality that could grab the attention of an entire room. She was quick witted and fast talker. It seems as though she had an endless supply of analogies that she came up with on the fly as she told stories and tried to get a point across.

We all have so many uniques memories about our experiences with her. Although Kaitlyn is gone, she will live in our heart and memories forever. Please join us for her memorial service to share memories with friends and families.
