Hello, this is a fundraiser for Kaitlyn Anderson and her family. Kaitlyn is 13 years old. She is a talented gymnast, a strong student, and a genuinely caring person who is full of life. Earlier this spring she began experiencing symptoms and learned that she had a cancerous brain tumor. She underwent major surgery in May to remove the tumor. Her surgery was long and complex and her recovery has been extremely difficult. She is experiencing multiple deficits including chronic pain, loss of hearing in one ear, and loss of balance. She's been unable to participate in gymnastics, which is her true love and devastating to Kaitlyn from a mental perspective.

Kaitlyn's cancer will require lifelong treatment. She lives in the Indianapolis area but she receives care in a suburb of Chicago. Her family has and will continue to make many trips for her care, consuming time and money. Their medical expenses are extensive and will continue to grow. They recently learned that Kaitlyn will require a surgically implanted hearing aid and ongoing physical therapy from various specialists to manage her deficits.

Unfortunately, Kaitlyn is not the only member of her family affected by significant health issues. Her twin brother, Caleb, suffers from a rare disorder named ataxia telangiectasia. This lifelong condition affects the nervous, immune system, and other body systems. Caleb has been receiving treatment for his condition for the past 7 years, most of which has been in Nashville, TN. Similar to Kaitlyn, her family has and will continue to make many trips for his care.

Kaitlyn and her family have been dealt incredibly difficult and unfair circumstances. While they fight courageously, they need your support. We're raising funds to help them manage their expenses and focus on treatments rather than finances. Our goal is to raise $50,000, any donation is appreciated and please share with your family and friends.
