Kaitlin Tillman's Educational Fund
Donation protected
On January 31st, 2021 our family lost my brother Joshua Tillman to suicide after a lifelong struggle with mental illness.
Joshua was a loving father to his daughter Kaitlin. When he was younger, he played baseball and football, and swam competitively in high school. He was incredibly smart, majoring in business and working in finance. Joshua adored his cats and enjoyed homemade meals, video games, fishing, and poker. He will be remembered by family and friends for his delighted laugh, intellectual curiosity, tenacious argumentation, and most importantly his love for his daughter.
He is survived by his six-year-old daughter Kaitlin and her sisters Kylie and Cadence; supportive co-parent Jessica Horn; his parents Rusty and Noël Tillman; his sister Stephanie (Lindsay) Tillman; and many loving extended family members.
Our family will hold a small private memorial. In lieu of gifts, we welcome donations to a scholarship fund for his daughter’s education. This is set-up as a GoFundMe available at the link below, all the proceeds of which will be immediately transferred into a 529 Educational Savings Fund in Kaitlin’s name.
In lieu of condolences, we would love to read stories about him, so that others will be able to share in those as we all move through grief together. Please share below or through private message to this account. If you share your story privately, please indicate if you are sharing privately with family or would like to have it posted publicly but anonymously.
