Hi, my name is Jaclyn Rivait and I created this Go Fund Me Page on behalf of my older sister Kaitlin Hennin-Bailey.

Kaitlin is a devoted wife and the loving mother of two young children—Wyatt (7) and Charlotte (4). At just 38 years old, Kaitlin is facing the fight of her life after being diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She is currently unable to work while undergoing intensive treatment, which comes with overwhelming costs not covered by insurance. In addition to medical expenses, Kaitlin and her family are also facing significant travel costs to access the specialized care she needs. Since this Cancer is so rare, and the Specialists in Canada are not entirely sure how to treat this Cancer, she is now seeking another opinion in America where they have Doctors who specialize in sarcomas. She is also undergoing Vitamin C treatments 3 times per week at $200 per session to help shrink the tumor, and taking necessary supplements regulalry that are also costly.

Unfortunately, since the tumor is attached to her kidneys and pancreas, and growing at a rapid rate (almost the size of a football), performing surgery to remove the sarcoma is too dangerous and further specialized treatment is required.

This fundraiser has been created to help ease the financial burden so Kaitlin can focus on healing, and living a long beautiful life with her family. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in supporting Kaitlin through this incredibly challenging journey.

UPDATE: After a second opinion in the states, Kaitlin is now undergoing chemo treatment to try and shrink the sarcoma.

Since there are very few cases with chemo and the type of tumor Kaitlin has, they are not able to confirm the chemo will indeed shrink the tumor. However, at this time, this is her only option and we are hoping and praying for the best.

My sister is my heart and soul and I will do whatever it takes to help her fight this battle. I can't imagine a world without her.
