Hi, my name is Darren and I’m reaching out to all our family and friends for my daughter Jules and her partner Cece.
We came to Cabo for a family wedding. I supported them financially to attend. They declined health insurance as they would only be there for three days and never imagined illness could strike so quickly. It was Cece’s first trip ever and she was so excited. She never had an opportunity before and was extremely grateful.
Later in the evening they arrived she started to throw up and received treatment at the resort.
The next day she briefly attended the wedding but that night she was taken to the hospital by ambulance. She and Jules were very concerned that they had no insurance. I allowed them to use my credit card up to cover expenses. They missed their return flight as Cece was still unable to drink or eat anything. It’s now been 5 days of hospitalization.
As of last night, November 7, doctors diagnosed Cece as having contracted an amoeba. The treatment is oral and since she still is barely able to take oral liquids treatment has not begun.
Hospital bills are escalating quickly. Although they want to be responsible for themselves this is an unexpected and overwhelming expense, and they’re not home yet. They have incurred costs for ambulance and hospital with transportation and airfare yet to come. For this reason we are seeking financial assistance. Any amount would be helpful and would be greatly appreciated! Also, please share with anyone you think would like to contribute. Thank you so much.

From Jules:
Hi loves! Hope everyone is doing well. Cece and I are home doing lots of resting. Cece is making big improvements, he’s eating lots and no more dizziness for two days now! Now that we’ve had time to heal we’re going to go back to the hospital tomorrow to follow up and make sure everything is good. Love you all and thanks for all your support ❤️
