Hi everyone,
This is our boy Kaiser. He loves charging up in the sunshine, he’s obsessed with his ball and his Mama, and he shares a birthday with his Dad (that’s me). We just celebrated him turning six years old.
Earlier this week we took him in to the Emergency room because he was throwing up bile, and our prognosis has spiraled downward very quickly. What we at first thought were some abdominal tumors turned out to be a ruptured gallbladder, and resulted in a six-hour exploratory surgery that we were told there was only a 40% chance he would survive. He lived through the surgery and is fighting so hard to stay with us now, but today he turned septic and is hanging on by a thread.
Our absolute last chance is protein transfusions to help his body fight off the infection and all we want is to be able to give him every shot possible because he DOES keep beating all the odds. Unfortunately we’ve exhausted every possible financial source we have available to us. We have pet insurance and were just approved for a line of care credit, but those two things, combined with all of our savings, only cover a little over half of the costs we’ve accumulated from trying every medical option we can to save him.
We met this dog the very day he was born and our whole world revolves around him. We’re short the fund needed to pursue this final option, but literally every dollar we can get would make such a tremendous difference. Thank you all so much for considering us, and even if you can’t donate please just keep Kaiser in your prayers tonight.
