I had heard stories before about veterinary bills, but obviously never thought we would be in the same situation. Kai has been in hospital since Wednesday with pancreatitis and a severe Gastro inflammation. She had liquid in her stomach that she was trying to regurgitate that was putting her at risk of aspiration. Now with a Gastronasal tube and feeding tube in she is stabilized, but requires continued intensive supportive care. After supportive care in hospital for four days, x-rays, ultrasound, bloodwork, feeding tube and Gastro, nasal tube, IV fluids, and IV medication. The ongoing costs have become overwhelming…. Never expected a bill over 10k…..
