Hi everyone,

My name is Stephanie. My two children attend St. Edith Stein.

I’m organizing a fundraiser/GoFundMe for a special 9-year-old boy and his family.

Kat and her husband John were unable to have biological children. They decided to adopt three beautiful and special children. Their eldest daughter is 11. She is non-verbal and suffers from severe behaviour. She has a formal diagnosis of FASD as well as a complex disorder that will impact her entire life. Her biological brother who is also adopted by Kat and John is 9. He has recently been diagnosed with stage 4, group Metastasized Rhabdomyosarcoma, cancer. This cancer is very aggressive and has spread from his leg where it was first found, to his groin and lungs within a matter of weeks. This nine-year-old boy has also had to endure FASD. He is currently in his 3rd week of aggressive chemo treatment at Sick Kids hospital. At nine years old he is fighting for his life with a 50/50 chance of beating this cancer; while trying to keep the faith knowing he might die. He has spiked fevers several times resulting in his mom or dad having to take him to Sick Kids hospital for monitoring.

The out-of-pocket expenses for two sick children are taking a toll and they need help. The cost of gas, parking, food, ect.

I am writing this letter to ask for your help.

I desperately urge you to help as much as possible. I’m a believer in karma and giving back when you can and paying it forward. This donation will be doing all those things.
