Craniosynostosis is rare, it is a condition in which one or more sutures close too early, causing problems with normal brain and skull growth. Complications may occur if not treated. About 1 in every 1,800 to 3,000 babies is born with craniosynostosis. Kairo was diagnosed at 3 years old and requires neurosurgery to alleviate brain pressure, restore her vision, and promote symmetrical cranial development. It is possible to diagnose craniosynostosis at birth however, Kairo's diagnosis came later. Kairo is now scheduled to have surgery Monday, August 26th 2019. Her neurosurgeon is Dr. Zachary Wright and her plastic surgeon is Dr. Mimi Chao.

Kairo is full of joy; she is a happy toddler from sunup to sundown. Her favorite songs are Bear Hunt, Bruno Mars and course Baby Shark do do do do! Donating stuffed animals and kids' drawings are welcomed. Kairo's family intends to decorate her hospital room with love as she regains her vision post-surgery. All proceeds will help the West family with transportation pre and post surgery and medical expenses.
