A Long Road to Recovery for Our Son Kain Allen Roy

Hi everyone my name is Chasity Ravey and I am Kain Roy's mother . I am also a grandmother to almost 11 grandbabies whom i Love with every breath inside of me. Kain is a brother to 5 siblings and they were all raised here in a small town called Lawtell, Louisiana. Im so grateful that you are here to be a part of Kains journey .

On August 17, 2025, a quick trip to our local store to grab drinks for his children turned into a Parent’s worst fear ! My son Kain was in a horrifically car accident that left him at the highest levels of critically injured. His car flipped several times. He was ejected and found under his own car in the middle of the highway that was sitting , crushing and burning him after 6 very long minutes . He was airlifted to the hospital in Lafayette, LA . Where surgery was needed and these injuries were found first.

1.Severe closed head injury with GCS 5T 2. Left parietal open severely depressed skull fracture with mass effect 3. Right temporoparietal open depressed skull fracture without mass effect 4. Superior frontal soft tissue injury (pressure injury versus burn)

PROCEDURE:
1. Left frontotemporoparietal
decompressive hemicraniectomy and elevation of open depressed skull fracture.

He was in a Coma immediately and a Medically induced coma, He has Multiple Major Skull fractures throughout his head , Multiple Face fractures like behind his Eyes and Ears, his Jaw, in the pallet of his Mouth, Both Scapulars are fractured , 3rd degree burns , Collapsed Lung /Punctured lung, Both lungs completely covered in contusions, Sadly a terrible scattered brain bleed, Hematomas, hemorrhages, Hes suffered through two different types of strokes and had several of them during the first few weeks , Several different types of Infections, kidney failure, 2 chest tubes put in, skin grafting , he was on the ventilator , on an Ecmo machine (Life support) , Dialysis and every medication possible and also suffering Massive bed wounds .

For the first 6 weeks, he was in a coma, and we constantly prayed at his bedside, praying for a miracle.
Its now over Two months later, 4 hospitals later , and we are grateful for his significant progress thank you Lord. HES DEFINITELY A MIRACLE AND LOVED BY MANY !
However the road ahead is still very long, heartbreaking and expensive. The medical bills are already in the millions. Im afraid so afraid of not being able to give my Boy the absolute best care that he needs so he can come home and raise his babies and live as normal as God has planned for him. His partner and children need some type of security during this time , so you will also be helping to keep their lights and water on and their bellies fed and lastly helping us cover all of our crazy travel expenses which has been a major burden since this has began .

We are now preparing to Move to a Neurological Hospital called Touro in New Orleans, La. where Kain will regain strength and relearn how to do all things that we should never take for granted . Like stand up, walk, talk, read, write, feed himself and so much more . This Breaks my heart to the core, BUT HES ALIVE and HES A TRUE MIRACLE!

New RARE results as of right now , His skull is caving in and is only 5cm from falling into his brain . Lord please HOLD IT IN YOUR HANDS UNTIL A DECISION IS MADE .

Our son is an amazing Daddy and Partner to his girlfriend of 6 years who is the mother of his children. They have an amazing 6 year daughter, A beautiful 1.5 year old daughter and a sweet brand new two week old baby boy.

Kain is Strong, Brave and a resilient young 22 year old man who deserves a chance to heal without the stress of all the financial worries. He's a fighter, and with your help, he can get the care he desperately deserves and will continue to need for a very long time. We are reaching out to ask for any donation, no matter the size, it will make a direct and significant difference. If you are unable to donate, please send prayers to Kain and our whole family . Also please share this with your families and friends. Thank you all for your support, prayers, love and kindness.
