KaiMana Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization for horses on the island of Kauai. It is a sanctuary for older horses to reside, heal, play, love and experience freedom. I was inspired to create this sanctuary by my first hanai (adopted) horse Kai. Kai showed up in my world in May of 2015. He was extremely under weight, sad, and had an injury which causes him to limp. Kai being the first horse I had ever cared for lead me to reach out to other "horse people" on how to best work with him. Because he was 25yrs old and "lame" many, well most people advised to ""put him down". A few offered to shoot him. But Kai told me otherwise and our healing journey began! Supplements, daily massage, energy sessions and a whole lot of love was the answer! Kai is now 26yrs old and loving retired pasture living! In 2016 I adopted Koa. He's 33yrs old and thriving! KaiMana Sanctuary is asking for donations so that I may continue to receive older horses in need and to care for them.♡ "Care" includes daily supplements, grooming, massage/energy work, unforseen vet bills, monthly pasture fees (per horse) etc... donations on any level are greatly appreciated.
