Kailey Marie

Kailey is a 13 year old 7th grader who loves dance, animals, and spending time with her family and best friend Kyleigh. On April 1st, Kailey and her friend were involved in a boating accident in which Kailey suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and several fractures and lacerations to her face. She was in cardiac arrest for 15 minutes. Because of the quick actions of those who were there and some kind, wonderful strangers, they were able to get Kailey breathing and with a pulse before the ambulance got there. She was then life flighted to Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville, where she is currently in the Intensive Care Unit. Kailey is now in the slow process of recovering. She will remain in the ICU for quite some time and expected to need rehab and other therapies. Unfortunately, at this time, she does not have any health insurance. Also, I am unable to work right now as I am spending every day and night at the hospital with Kailey. I am hoping that this campaign can help with some of the burden of myself having to miss work and for medical bills for her hospital stay and therapies. We are believing in a miracle and a full recovery, but we know it will take some time. We are all so grateful for all who have checked on my baby and prayed for her. You’ve got this, Kailey baby!
