Kaila's 2022 Debutante Cotillion Fundraiser

Dear Family, Friends & Sorors:

 

We are pleased to announce that our legacy princess, Kalia Amari, is a Debutante in the “2022 Precious Pearls Cotillion”, sponsored by the Upsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter (UEO) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated which will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

 

The Precious Pearls Cotillion is annual event that raises funds for the community and provides scholarships for local students. Cotillion Debutantes will raise funds for scholarship through ticket sales, solicitation of ads for the souvenir booklet, and patron donations.  All funds raised will count towards determining who will be crowned Ms. Precious Pearl. In addition, the funds that are raised will be used for scholarship for students in the Baltimore County community.

 

Kalia is an amazing 17-year-old and graduating senior at Mercy High School in Baltimore, Maryland where she is a part of the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society.  She is also a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient and President and co-founder of Black Awareness Club.  In her spare time, Kaila enjoys crafting, shopping, listening to music and playing lacrosse.  Kaila has an outgoing charismatic spirit and genuinely cares about helping others. Her family and friends most often describe her as joyous, talented, smart, kind-hearted, caring and thoughtful.

 

As a Debutante, Kaila will participate in various workshops and cultural activities designed to build character, self-esteem, and leadership skills while giving her an exciting opportunity to bond with other young ladies and build lasting friendships.

 

We are soliciting your support of Kaila’s cotillion participation and your assistance to help her secure the crown "Ms. Precious Pearl" with a financial donation that will go toward the purchase of an ad in the souvenir program.
