Kaila's Recovery

On Thursday, January 23rd, 2020, Kaila Kortum was hit head on by a drunk driver in Gumboro, Delaware.  As a result, she has sustained severe injuries that will require surgery and months of physical therapy and rehabilitation.  Due to the crash, Kaila's femur and wrist were broken and her heal shattered.  To make matters worse, the drunk driver was without a license and uninsured.

Kaila is a single mom of two little boys.  She works full time at a doctors office and is a full time nursing student at Del Tech in the evenings.  Kaila was taking huge steps to supporting her boys as a confident and capable single mother when this accident occurred.  This has put her semester of nursing school on hold, something she has worked so hard to accomplish, as well as putting her out of work for at least the next three months.  

Kaila and her son's, Bryson and Keegan, need all of the support they can get right now.    ALL funds will be used towards her mounting medical bills, daily living expenses while out of work and helping to care for her boys during her recovery.
