On February 11th, our sweet boy, Kaiden Cruz Ware, was admitted to Sunrise Children's Hospital in Las Vegas after the doctors found a brain tumor in his scans.
In November 2020, our family started to notice small changes in his physical appearance and gross motor skills (often cross-eyed, odd leg movements when walking, arm/hand delays). He started going to physical therapy for what Doctors thought to be an issue with his achilles tendon. The small changes (along with changes in behavior) became larger before finally being referred to a neurologist. The neurologist sent him for MRI scans on 2/11/21. He was quickly sent to the ER where he was admitted for further scans and testing.
The mass in his brain is currently 4 centimeters. They would like to take the more aggressive option, which is to start radiation/chemotherapy sooner than later. He will have to start this in Salt Lake City, Utah at the best facility for children receiving similar treatment before being able to transfer him to a local facility in Las Vegas.
For those who don’t know Kaiden, anyone who has had just one interaction with him will attest to his loving personality and compassion for others. He has a heart of gold! All of your messages and calls have lifted his spirits.
We would like to help the family cover traveling expenses, lodging facilities, and living expenses as their main focus is Kaiden and his recovery. We greatly appreciate all your thoughts and prayers during this time. Thank you for your love near and far! His parents, Jennifer Cruz and Kenneth Ware, are greatly appreciative of you all.
