Kaiden is a sweet, caring, 4 year old boy that just loves life. What most see when they look at him is his infectious smile and his contagious giggle. What most don’t see, is the journey he goes on everyday just to keep up with his friends. He is fed everyday though a feeding tube. He has a g/j tube that allows us to bypass his stomach and feed his small intestine because his motility is to slow which leads to discomfort and severe abdominal distention. He also requires a cecostomy tube which allows us to flush his colon out at home since the left lower side of his colon just doesn’t function. Kaiden goes through periods known as metabolic acidosis which can be dangerous, even fatal if left untreated requiring him to spend lots of time in and out of the hospital. He battles seizures which can happen when we least expect it. He truly is a superhero who shows up everyday to battle whatever comes his way. Our current team is stuck and just don’t know where to go from here. Due to this, we have decided to take an adventure to Boston to hopefully lead us to a better quality of life. The donations will be used to help with travel, food, and necessities as I will have to miss work in order to take him.
