Kaiden Johnson was born on June 1st, 2017 with a rare condition called Lissencephaly. The doctors gave him a 2-10 year life expectancy. This condition resulted in Kaiden needing a GT to eat and a ventilator and trach to help support his breathing. He was cared for and raised at home by his loving parents, Krisheena Amy and Derek Johnson, and alongside his three siblings, Alanna, Derek Jr., and Brentlee. Even though he was a quiet boy, he had a big personality and loved to just hang around and listen to everything going on.
On December 6th, Kaiden lost his battle at 6 years old and passed away at home surrounded by his family. He was the sweetest, toughest child who overcame so many challenges. There wasn’t a single person who met him that didn’t fall in love instantly. He left a mark on everybody he met and has forever changed the lives of so many.
Although everyone knew this day would eventually come, it was still so sudden and unexpected and has left his family heartbroken. Because of the life expectancy he was given, his family was never able to get life insurance for him to help prepare for when this happened. Now they are facing huge financial costs for funeral arrangements. On top of this, his parents will be out of work for a little awhile in order to grieve and still have 3 other children they need to provide for. Any amount of donations would be so helpful and appreciated. All donations will go toward both funeral expenses and supporting the family during this difficult time. Thank you so much for any amount of help you can give.
