On the evening of November 20, 2018, 14-year old Kaia and her friend Annie were crossing Hwy 47 in St Francis, Minnesota to get to choir practice when they were struck by a car.  They did everything right: they triggered the lights to alert drivers and they were in the crosswalk.  Kaia was initially not breathing but a passerby started CPR and she started to breath.  She was airlifted to HCMC and is now in the pediatric ICU fighting for her life.  She has a skull fracture, multiple facial fractures, a broken pelvis and brain swelling and bleeding.  Kaia is now on a respirator and sedated.  Both her and her parents Brett and Jill face a long road to rehabilitation and recovery from this tragic event.  Any amount no matter how trivial it may seem is a godsend.  Please donate to this beautiful family.
