Less than 48 hours after Kai first complained of seemingly random severe leg pain, his family's world was turned upside down with a Leukemia diagnosis. His Cook Children's treatment team has already begun an aggressive treatment plan to best set Kai up for long-term success. His family's optimism and love mean they will provide the best possible care for him as he walks a path no 7 year old should have to step through. Kai will not be able to attend school for the rest of the year and is already missing his Ditto Elementary classmates.
