Kai & Leo are turning 4 on March 11!
In lieu of gifts, we’re asking for contributions to build a travel fund for our little twin explorers so they can see more of the world.
Will you help them gallop into the Year of the Fire Horse?
Now that our curious kiddos are more independent and travel-ready, here’s what we envision for them:
IMMEDIATE PLANS
️️We're hoping to make an annual family tradition of going to César's hometown (you're welcome to join us!) each "Semana Santa" around Easter weekend in April. There, the kids are in their purest bliss among waterfalls, lush green jungles, and lots of wild animals to admire.
We also aspire to visit Italy this summer to explore nature forest schools for our twins' future education. We've got our eye on one situated on a 500-year-old biodynamic farm in the vineyards of the Monferrato region of northern Italy (Piedmont). It offers a Steiner-inspired curriculum, embedding traditional academics in an outdoor classroom set in a farm's vines, fields, and woodland, on land that has never been dosed with chemicals or pesticides and is a radiation-free zone!
This idyllic project aligns with our core values to help Kai and Leo discover their strengths, foster their creativity and curiosity, and be balanced and well-rounded, emphasizing the value of being outside in the fresh air and natural light.
We recognize this as a potentially transformative future option for them, so we first want to test the waters by enrolling them in a summer camp there this year. While elementary, middle, and high school selections seem like light-years away, we're already looking into their bright futures for globally enriching educational opportunities!
✈️ WHY GIVE TO THIS FAMILY FUND?
Kai and Leo have only been on a plane twice, once thanks to a gifted stay from a hotel I received in exchange for writing about them, and the second time because of the generous support of 23 kind donors to their travel fund when they turned 3!
While our financial means are limited, our aspirations for our multicultural, bilingual kids are infinite. We see this travel fund as an investment in their growth—intellectual, emotional, developmental, ephemeral, and cultural.
Our hope is for Kai and Leo to experience the world outside of Mexico early on so that later, their invaluable travel experiences can inform their vision of what's possible for their long-term futures.
Can you help us build core memories together?
Raising kind and compassionate kids takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours. Thank you for your support!
xx,
Simone, César, Kai & Leo
