This is my dog Kai Kai. She is only 5 years old, the same age as my daughter. My daughter and her have been growing up together, and within the past 2 years, we had to put down our oldest dog, King, due to old age. My little Morkipoo, Bella, got hit by a car when I was at work, and my daughter saw it happen.

This is my last dog, and I can't handle losing another one. I'm still grieving my Bella girl. I just spent a month in the hospital myself with an infection in my heart, so I'm still struggling to catch up on bills and paying people back.

I took Kai to an emergency vet today, and she was diagnosed with pyometra, which is a bad infection in her uterus, so she needs emergency surgery. The vet gave us an estimate of around $5600. I know I can find a vet to do it cheaper, but I have to wait until tomorrow, Monday, when they open back up to see where the cheapest place would be. Highlands said they won't have a surgeon tomorrow.

I do not qualify for care credit. They charged me $290 at the vet today to diagnose her and give her antibiotics and told me I have to get the surgery done by tomorrow or she won't make it much longer. She lost so much weight, and she's bleeding out foul-smelling infected blood. She fills up pads and towels every hour.

I posted the current estimate from the emergency vet in the pictures, but first thing in the morning, I'm going to call around and I'll update this post. Please, anything helps, and please share this everywhere. I'll do anything to repay the help. I'll clean your house for free for a couple of years. I don't want to lose her.
