My dear friend Kahlia was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She will be undergoing surgery later this month, followed by three weeks of daily radiation treatments beginning in October and a second surgery likely early next year. While her prognosis is thankfully positive, and we are steadfast in our hope for the best possible outcome, she will be responsible for part of the medical costs and will be unable to work fully during treatment and recovery. I’m asking for your help so she can focus on healing without the added stress of financial strain.

I’ve been blessed to know Kahlia for over two decades. We first met in 2000 through a synchronistic housemate ad, and our shared passions for gardening, permaculture, sustainability, spirituality, and healing have kept us walking side by side ever since. She is truly a Bright Light in this world — a friend of depth, wisdom, courage, and humor — and has touched countless lives with her generosity and spirit.
