Kahiki Moai Restoration Project

In 2000, Columbus, Ohio institution The Kahiki closed it's doors. A space that held special occasions, celebrities, and an air of escapism and tropical delight that forever remain in the hearts and minds of many guests from near and far.

We have been lucky to have acquired one of the Moais that stood at the entrance of the Kahiki. Our plan is to restore it to its former glory, but we can't do that without your help. Restoration will include strengthening the frame, a whole new stucco/stone treatment, paint details, weatherproofing the entire piece, adding a base to the statue, and reworking the lines to return the fire to the top of the Moai.
