I've been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, had to have surgery and I'm still off work with very little help.

I'm also in a toxic family situation that is impacting my mental health greatly.

I'm having trouble financially even with assistance from my employer's insurance currently and a good friend of mine from the US offered to start a GoFundMe for me, but I read that it would be better if I set it up instead.
